PMMA and glass anti scratch coating
A significant increase of mechanical properties and especially anti scratch resistance [pencil hardness] was requested for PMMA and Glass. Other important requirements included transparency of the coating [primary requirement] and flexibility/ elasticity [secondary requirement]. Our work resulted to the provision of three novel formulations of such coatings based on composites approach. Specific mechanical properties reinforcement were used in combination with organic and hybrid polymeric matrices to provide the requested result. A five star review was provided by the client on Elance.com for this work. Project is on manufacturing stage.
